Dear Florida Film Maker and Community:

Although our industry is benefiting greatly from the Florida Entertainment Industry Financial Incentive Program, we could be at risk of losing production if we do not fortify legislative support in 2012.  We are asking for your financial support to continue the effort to keep Florida's film incentives strong and competitive by joining the “Committee of Professional Film Makers”, which is similar to a PAC that is designed to amplify the collective voice of the entire Florida film community in Tallahassee.

COPFM identifies and supports candidates for Florida state offices who demonstrate a commitment to carefully managed, high quality economic growth in the entertainment industry.  Candidates are measured, regardless of political party affiliation, on their dedication to building an infrastructure that supports the Florida entertainment industry.

Florida's Film Incentives Work!

Here's proof - for fiscal year 2010-2011 the Florida Entertainment Industry Financial Incentive Program is projected to have produced:
· $130,593,125 in Florida qualified expenditures (Florida wages, products or services) *
· $70,563,074 in wages for Floridians (16,066 positions) *
· 24,269 lodging/room nights *
· 2737 production days *

Production dollars are flowing to every sector of our state economy, impacting such businesses as: hotels, restaurants, car rental agencies, food purveyors, equipment suppliers, construction supply stores, costume houses, aircraft charters, marinas, antique stores, dry cleaners, locations rentals and housing.

We want more high-impact Television Production, Feature Films and Commercials.  We want an unlimited tax credit.  We want permanent legislation that producers can rely on.  Help press these issues by joining the FFPC today.
